Launched in 2011, Aire Dance Company presents contemporary dance inspired by the art of Flamenco. "Aire" (pronounced in Spanish) is a flamenco term that describes the unique quality that a performer brings to their craft.  In the same way, Aire Dance Company strives to develop a unique dance vocabulary, combining elements of flamenco, contemporary dance and dance theatre.

See a sample of their work on YOU TUBE at "Ana Miranda Passion Play."

"Ana Miranda’s Flamenco was simply outstanding. It brought the full house to a roar and raised the vibration of the space 100 fold. The three-part suite was packed with all of the intensity, technique, emotion, and pressure that makes flamenco satisfying. She took the audience on a journey of feminine power and used shawls, auto percussive foot work, staging and a fine interplay of solo and group work to tell her story. Miranda incorporated two other dancers [Ana Bolt, Charm Walters] in the suite and the chemistry between the three was palpable." (Performance at INKUB 8 for the Field, April 22, 2011)

Talented world class artists blend the sounds and rhythms of jazz, blues, rock, and flamenco.  Bringing together the music of Carl Ferrari and Friends with flamenco dancer Ana Miranda and guest artists. A compelling and modern blend of styles in music and dance...

"Gypsy Cat played a lovely original song called "Jaleo", while Ana danced passionately upon a wooden stage. The experience was like that of a story unfolding before our eyes and ears as the band played flawlessly."
