Since 2005, Art Works for Us, Inc has provided therapeutic dance programming for the Disability Services program at AD Barnes park, serving individuals with developmental disabilities.

Under the direction of Ana Miranda, a certified dance/movement therapist, the participants work year round on cognitive, social and motor abilities through the art of movement and dance.  The programming culminates in a yearly talent showcasing the work of the participants.  This event builds self esteem and is a motivating force for the project.

Each year, the participants select a theme for their show, explored throughout the project, which is another educational component of the experience. Performances have taken place at AD Barnes Park and the Manuel Artime Theater.
