Art Works For Us, Inc is proud to partner with Miami-Dade Public Libraries, presenting performances and interactive, multicultural arts activities with master teaching artists. Some of these included: "Percussion Jam" with Ana Miranda and Howard Moss; Mother Goose "Reading Ready" Story Time for Pre-school audiences with Howard Moss, Roberto Garrido and Ana Miranda; and "Gypsy Travels" with Roberto Garrido and Ana Miranda.

Teaching Artists:
Ana Miranda, MA, ADTR, is a certified dance/movement therapist, professional flamenco dancer, choreographer and dance educator with experience in inclusion strategies for both children and adults. She has performed with south Florida based dance companies and troupes, including Bailes Ferrer and Siempre Flamenco, througout the state. Founder of Arte Compás Flamenco and co-founder of Gypsy Cat (with guitarist Carl Ferrari), she has performed in many festivals and theaters statewide. She has designed and implemented educational programming including a children's flamenco program for Raíces,collaborating with Miami-Dade County Parks Arts and Culture and a mixed ability flamenco class at Creative Children Therapy. She has also created therapeutic dance programming for Miami Dade ParksDisability Services, the Miami Jewish Home at Douglas Gardens, VSA arts (presenting at the Adrienne Arsht Center) and has been a teaching artist in pre-school settings working with Arts For Learning and the United Way's Center for Excellence.
Roberto Garrido, an active musician, actor, storyteller, visual artist, puppeteer and teaching artist, experienced in conducting workshops for children and adults. His expertise is in creating multi-cultural and multi-disclinary programming that bring the arts to life in a dynamic, theatrical experience. He has participated in the experimental theater group “Sopa de Letras,” music/dance theatre companies, “Juegos de Malabares” (multi-disciplinary project), “Tropazancos” (street theatre company), “Giganteria Ambulante” (dance-theatre company), and “Rin Ran” (theatre company for young audiences), among others; Co-conducted multi-disciplinary workshops for children and parents, such as “Creando en Paz” (Creating in Peace) and “Espacio Café Dulce” (Sweet Coffee Space). He has been a teaching artist for Arts For Learning, The United Way Center for Excellence and The Miami Children's Museum.
Howard Moss, film maker, still photographer and musician based in Miami, Florida. Mr. Moss' work in film and tape have appeared on ABC, NBC, Cable & Public Television. His photography has appeared in magazines and textbooks, on calendars and album covers, and have been exhibited at The Metropolitan Museum of Art and Pratt Institute in New York, The Anacostia Museum in Washington, DC, Miami Dade Library and more. Mr. Moss has traveled extensively throughout West Africa, the Caribbean, Central & South America, Australia, Europe and French Polynesia documenting various facets of the countries and much of the underwater world. Working as a jazz drummer, Moss has had the honor and pleasure of sharing the stage with noted jazz giants such as Dizzy Gillespie, Nat Adderly, Stanley Turrentine, Antonio Hart and Mongo Santamaria, Alice Coltrane, Dr Lonnie Smith to name a few. As a teaching artist, Moss has worked extensively in early childhood programs and for grades K-12. He has worked for VSA and Arts For Learning, also creating inclusive programming, which was presented at the Adrienne Arsht Center in Miami.
